Description
This course is part of the Business Management and Information Systems module in level one of the ICAG professional qualification. The aim of this course is to introduce candidates to the basic structures and processes involved in organisations in Ghana and to identify the impact of the business environment and how information within the organisation is managed to support business objectives. The course covers the following topics:
- Entity types, their purpose and objectives
- Organisational structures and processes
- Business environment and decisions
- Business planning processes and behaviour
- Operations and business functions
- Business information management
- Business models and management decisions
The course is assessed by a three-hour examination with five compulsory questions. The pass mark is 50%. The course is suitable for candidates who want to gain a broad understanding of business organisation and information systems and who have a basic knowledge of business concepts and terminology.
